The second round of a local pizza competition is coming to Plainville in a few weeks, giving area residents the chance to vote on their favorite pies to determine a winner.
The Plainville Pizza Wars: Part 2, which is being organized by the Plainville Police Association, is set to welcome interested parties with a taste for cheesy goodness. Several local restaurants will be featured in the competition, including West Main Pizza, First and Last Tavern, Transcend Beer Crafters, and Square Peg Pizzeria.
Attendees will sample slices from each local restaurant and make notes on their favorites before casting their final votes. Print shops can provide the paper materials necessary to facilitate a successful and fair vote at such competitions and festivals. In addition to the pizza options, other local eateries will offer sweet treats to balance the palate. My Mochi Donut Cafe and Bakery, Dunkin’ Donuts, and Lacroix’s Homemade Ice Cream will all attend this year’s event.
Alcohol will be available for purchase at the competition to attendees 21 and over. Guests are asked to drink responsibly. The gathering is expected to be the biggest pizza event of the year.
The VFW Post in Plainville will be the host site for the competition, which has been set for Saturday, October 4th, from 5:00 to 9:00 PM. Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the door.
