Classic horror film airs in Plainville

A movie event built around a classic horror film is coming to Plainville next month, and film enthusiasts seeking fun with like-minded individuals are invited to attend.

The Werewolf of London 90th Anniversary Screening on Film, presented by The Witch’s Dungeon Classic Movie Museum, is set to air on the big screen for an excited audience with spooky season just around the corner. The movie will take guests into the world of London’s foggy streets for a scary trip down memory lane.

The film is one of the iconic horror films, and attendees will get to see it on its 90th anniversary through celluloid film for an eerie and classic viewing experience. Cortlandt Hull, the nephew of the movie’s starring actor, Henry Hull, will do a presentation on the behind-the-scenes aspects of the movie. Poster printing is a classic way to promote such film events in the local community to drum up excitement.

Hull will share stories from the golden age of horror and conduct an audience question-and-answer session. A life-sized Werewolf will be at the film venue, and guests are encouraged to get a photo with the creature if they’re feeling bold.

The Bantam Cinema and Arts Center in Plainville will host the screening on Thursday, September 11th, starting at 7:00 PM. Only 55 seats are available, and tickets cost $15 per person online.
