The United Community and Family Services building in Griswold has broken ground, with a ceremony taking place on March 10.
Attendants of the ceremony included Senator Andrew Maynard, First Selectman Kevin Skulczyk, Selectman Steven Mikutel, and company CEO Chuck Seeman, who commented that the object of the center is to keep family services local.
United Community and Family Services, the current center located on Main Street in Jewett City near Norwich, has less than half the space that the new one will have. It will be at the location where the Triangle Plastic Wire and Cable Co. used to be, and will measure 10,000 square feet. Included within it will be a general practice, woman’s health services, a lab work station, behavioral healthcare, and help for substance abuse.
Pamela Kinder, Marketing and Facilities Vice President of the center, said that the company has been waiting for the best spot to put the new center so it can fill all of the community needs right now, as well as in the future should it need to expand. Work on the center is set to begin next year.
Construction companies use Signs to indicate the type of building that is being built, usually from a Print company they work with and trust to make their Signs clear to the general public. Working with construction companies can bring in several projects for a printing company.Get a Free Quote for Print Get a Free Quote for Signs
