An event taking place in Norwich in a few weeks is highlighting the local residents while also paying tribute to a widely celebrated holiday.
The St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Festival is an experience from the Norwich Events Organization. The parade features various community groups, marching bands, floats which are each uniquely decorated, and Irish dance performers. The festival will have activities for children, a market of local businesses and artisans, and music from live performers.
The parade has a total of six stopping points for the performers along the route. This allows for the parade to flow smoothly, while also giving the audience a chance to watch a short piece from the acts that pause in each location.
There are five locations designated as parking for parade and festival attendees. These are listed, along with the parade performance zones, on the event’s listing page on the website for the Norwich Events Organization. Attending the event is free for everyone. Guests are encouraged to dress up in green outfits.
The festivities will be taking place throughout the downtown area of Norwich. Many festival vendors will turn to a company that prints Business Cards to have something portable for guests to take and remember the brand by. The event will be running between 11:00am and 2:00pm. The parade itself will start at 1:00pm. The scheduled date for the event is March 8th.
