The Silk City Steampunks will be marching in the Norwich St. Patrick’s Day Parade in March.
The Silver City Steampunks is an organization that serves as a haven where like-minded people can meet and bond over their love of the steampunk genre. The group is based in Manchester, Connecticut and participates in monthly events, such as tea house crawls and holiday parties. The parent organization of the Silver City Steampunks is Oddball Newt, a group that also appreciates the steampunk genre. The club also hosts karaoke shows and craft nights.
The parade is part of the Norwich St. Patrick’s Festival, which is an event held in Historic Downtown Norwich that includes live music performances and activities for children. Several vendors will be offering food at the event, like Off the Griddle, Harp & Dragon Corned Beef, and Mi Encanto. Those interested in attending the fest can park at the Main Street Garage, City Hall Garage, and the ArtSpace Lot. Bathrooms will be located at Eastern Savings Bank and the YMCA Parking Lot.
People who wish to join the Silver City Steampunks can march alongside the group on Sunday, March 5 at 11:00 am. There is no cost for guests to join the steampunk club during the parade. Organizations that partake in events like this may bring Promotional Products to hand out to spectators alongside the parade route.
