The Mystic Museum of Art will hold an event in Norwich where kids can learn about a famous artist while making their own sculptures.
Making Picasso is an in-person activity for children that teaches them about Pablo Picasso. The educational program will show kids how to make sculptures out of recycled materials. Children at the activity will also discover what they can do to help the environment. The event is intended for kids aged 4-7. The presentation will take place in the Storytime Room at the Otis Library and is sponsored by Bart Sayet and Lori Lindfors.
The Mystic Museum of Art is a nonprofit organization that showcases works from notable regional artists and offers community education programs. Many exhibitions have been held at the attraction, including Chairs by Design: Making the Cut, Unfettered: Liberating Creative Expression, and Magic Hour: Art between Waking and Dreams. The organization hosts art camps for children and offers open studio sessions for artists. People can volunteer at the museum to help with its camps and special events.
The children’s art activity will be held on Monday, July 8 from 2:00pm to 3:00pm. Those interested in the event must register their kids in advance. People can start registering for the program on Monday, June 10. Organizations that hold artistic activities like this may use poster printing to advertise their kid-friendly events to families.
