The CT Manufacturing Roadshow will soon visit the Senator Thomas J. Dodd Memorial Stadium in Norwich.
The Explore Manufacturing Expo is an educational experience for middle and high schoolers where they can interact with manufacturing employers in Eastern Connecticut. Attendees will learn about multiple potential career paths in manufacturing. The expo is organized by the Greater Norwich Area Chamber of Commerce’s Education and Workforce Development Committee. Educators can sign up for the conference to bring their students to the event.
There will be many activities offered at the trade show by the participating companies. The Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology will teach students about collaborative robots with a hands-on demonstration. The organization ReadyCT will bring virtual reality (VR) headsets to the expo to give attendees career simulation experiences. Other highlights at the event will include a 40-foot inflatable submarine, mobile training labs with 3D printers, and multiple innovation stations.
The manufacturing expo will be held on Thursday, September 26 from 9:00 am to noon. Manufacturers and educators who want to participate in the conference can register in advance for free. Educators who sign up for the event must include their school and the number of students they wish to bring to the trade show. There are also sponsorship opportunities that can be bought for $250.
