The Hartford Marathon Foundation will be organizing a virtual festival in Norwich to encourage people to get active for a good cause.
The Norwich Winterfest 5K & Kids Health Celebration is a fundraiser that supports Reliance Health, Inc. This year, the event will be held virtually and over four days to allow participants to complete the 5K at their convenience. Those who register for the activity will receive a commemorative long-sleeve shirt, and the first 250 registrants will be given a custom finisher medal. Runners will also get digital race bibs for the event.
Children who are 12 or younger will be eligible to partake in the Kids Fun Run. During the activity, the participants will be encouraged to stay active for 45 minutes to celebrate the 45th anniversary of Reliance Health. Each kid will receive a finisher medal and a downloadable bib they can customize. Organizations hosting family-friendly activities like this can market their programs to parents with poster printing services.
The virtual event will occur between November 25 and 28. The fee to participate in the 5K race will be $25 per person, while children only need to pay $5 to enter the Kids Fun Run. Runners can use personal timing devices to record their results for the race. People may also create fundraising pages to help raise money for Reliance Health, Inc.
