Aspiring artists can take part in a contest during the Rose Arts Festival in Norwich this June at the Chelsea Parade.
The Sara Davis Budding Artist Exhibit & Competition is an event where all ages can compete with other artists for cash prizes. The program is named after Sara St. George Davis, an award-winning teacher from Wequonnoc School who passed away in 2017. The competition is divided by age, and the top three artists of each group will get an award. There are also prizes for Best Use of Material, Most Creative, and Viewer's Choice.
The Rose Arts Festival is an event that uses art to motivate locals to make a difference in their community. Companies can support the organizers by paying between $1,000 and $50,000 to sponsor the fest. Businesses that become a Centre Stage Exclusive Sponsor for $25,000 can receive benefits like social media shoutouts and being displayed on the event's main stage screen. Store owners who pay $2,500 for the Pop-Up Partner tier will also be recognized on volunteer tees.
The art festival will be from June 28th to June 29th. Those interested in entering the artist competition must submit their pieces by June 21st.
