Norwich presentation to discuss famous sitcoms

The Otis Library in Norwich will have an event in March where attendees can learn about the greatest sitcoms from a published author.

A Funny Program About Funny Programs: The Greatest Sitcoms Of All Time is a presentation that doubles as a trivia game about famous television shows like The Mary Tyler Moore Show, The Big Bang Theory, and All in the Family. The presenter of the activity is Martin Gitlin. Snippets from the sitcoms will be used as examples throughout the presentation. The program will also discuss how sitcoms have evolved.

Martin Gitlin is an educational and trade book author who has published Books like The Greatest Sitcoms of All-Time, The Great American Cereal Book, and The Most Significant Sporting Events in American History. He worked as a fantasy sportswriter for CBS Sports and has experience as a sports reporter for News-Herald. Gitlin earned a degree in journalism from Ohio University in 1981 and currently works as a self-employed author and journalist.

The sitcom presentation will take place on Saturday, March 9th from 12:30pm to 1:30pm. There is no cost to attend Gitlin’s program, and advance registration is not needed. The presentation will be held in the library’s Community Room. Venues that host similar lectures to this may promote their activities to people with help from poster printing services.
