Norwich golf tourney to assist many local organizations

The Norwich Rotary Club will be organizing a golf tournament in September to support several charitable groups.

The Norwich Rotary Golf Tournament is an event where people can enjoy a four ball scramble-style golf competition with a shotgun start. The experience will begin with coffee and pastries, followed by a boxed lunch on the venue’s golf course. Attendees will be treated to a post-tourney buffet and awards show at the Caddy Shack. Several awards can be won during the event, like Closest to the Pin, Hole in One, and Longest Drive. Golfers may also take part in a silent auction.

This year, the Norwich Rotary Club’s golfing competition will be supporting nine different charitable organizations. These include the Haitian Health Foundation, UCFS Dental Fund, and The Otis Library. Several sponsorship packages are available for store owners who wish to help these organizations. The tiers range from $150 to $1,000 and include perks such as being featured on the tournament’s banner and linked recognition on the event’s social media.

The golf tournament will be held at the Norwich Golf Course and will begin at 9:30 am. Those interested in becoming part of the Norwich Rotary Club can apply for the organization online. Local groups that plan golfing fundraisers similar to this may use flyer printing services to get people interested in their competitions.
