Rock the Docks concerts start on tonight at Howard T. Brown Memorial Park's Norwich Harbor.
The event continues each Wednesday until August 10, featuring local bands and musicians. There will also be performances at Norwichtown Green on Fridays, starting this week and continuing until August 12.
Some of the bands performing will be Eight to the Bar – who specialize in Motown, swing, and boogie – and cover band Malaena with six members. On July 13, oldies group '60s Explosion Band will perform and funk outfit All Funk'd Up will be there on July 20. Southern Connecticut band No Shame is going to play popular music spanning from the ‘80s to present on July 28, and country-rock band Branded will perform on August 3.
Several businesses are funding the free concerts, such as American Ambulance Group, Eastern Savings Bank, and Norwich Public Utilities. According to Angela Adams, the director of the Greater Norwich Area Chamber of Commerce, there is much to be excited about for the Friday concerts. Semifinalist and fan favorite on the 2015 season of ‘The Voice’ Braiden Sunshine is one of the acts set to feature.
Banners for both events would be an addition to aid in the festivities and let attendees know where the stage is. It may also be helpful to put up Signs directing attendees where to go.Get a Free Quote for Banners Get a Free Quote for Signs
