This year at the historical Olde Mistick Village in New London County, several couples were honored by Wiley with a free ceremony. Wiley says of her own wedding 20 years ago:
"It was completely unromantic so I live vicariously through my couples. I give them the wedding I always wanted.”
Marie Tyler Wiley’s good deeds have affected many, including the lives of newlyweds Diane and Carlos Hernandez who were married this Valentine’s Day under Wiley’s care.
Wiley understands that each couple is unique, and offers five different personalized ceremonies to choose from during her event. Her goal is always to give new couples just starting out a great opportunity - not to mention a little bit of a break.
Those in many areas of New London County such as Norwich, Stonington, and Groton may not be familiar with Wiley’s generous offer, and she hopes to have the opportunity to help many more couples marry next February. In order to advertise next year’s event, Wiley might consider using printing companies, flyer printing, or business card printing services to spread the word about her services both on Valentine’s Day and throughout the year.
