Improve Norwich Now is working with other community organizations to offer financial literacy classes over the coming weeks.
Nine classes will be free to students, although they will have to pay for the materials of the course at a cost of $100.
The Financial Peace University, or FPU, course will last nine weeks on Thursdays starting on September 26. Students will meet at the YMCA at 5:30pm.
Jen Westervelt, co-founder of Improve Norwich Now, said the YMCA of Norwich and the Canasawacta Valley Free Methodist Church are responsible for the chance to understand finances and figure out how to discover debt relief. She added that Dave Ramsey, a distinguished financial expert, created the FPU course so individuals could learn how to save money and alleviate debt.
She expressed her excitement at creating a cooperative with multiple capable entities and organizations in the community. Courses like FPU are beneficial to everyone. Since it is free, anyone can sign up for it. The materials for the course include the readings required for following the class. Students can pay the $100 fee online.
The course goes over the idea of spending less than you earn, highlighting that many residents are unaware of how much they spend on a regular basis.
Flyer printing is often used to advertise college courses and give important information about them. The Flyers need to catch the attention of potential students.Get a Free Quote for Flyers
