The Chamber of Commerce of Eastern CT’s Education Council will be organizing a fair in Norwich for students.
The 6th Annual Eastern Connecticut Career Fair provides students with an opportunity to learn about several types of occupations while discovering what education and skills are needed to succeed in each field. The featured career clusters in the program include Marketing and Communications, Medical Sciences and Human Services, Manufacturing, and Architecture and Construction. The activity is intended for local high school students aged 16 to 18.
The Education Council of the Chamber is a group of business and education leaders tasked with planning programs that help students get ready for future careers. The Council meets on a monthly basis and consists of members from organizations like the Navy Federal Credit Union, New London Adult Education, and Robert Boris Ventures. Those who attend meetings for groups like this may bring Business Cards to exchange with fellow members.
The event will be held on Tuesday, May 17 from 8:00 am to 12:30 pm at the Three Rivers Community College. Companies interested in being an exhibitor at the fair can register for free. Business Partner Sponsorships are available for $250, which include benefits such as brand recognition on all of the career fair’s printed materials, a Mailing list of exhibitors, and extra exhibitor space.
