The Cow Bell Trading Post will be hosting a Crafty Weekend next month. Residents from the local area, including Norwich, Ledyard, North Stonington and Voluntown are invited to register in advance.
Held in the Cow Bell Classroom, the weekend event will provide avid crafters with the opportunity to spend the weekend creating their art, while socializing with others. There will be craft demonstrations, and several make-and-take projects completed. Each attendee will receive a welcome gift upon arrival, and there will be several prizes awarded throughout the weekend. On Sunday afternoon, participants will be encouraged to share their work with the group.
Several meals and refreshments will be provided, including breakfast on both Saturday and Sunday mornings, as well as dinner on Saturday evening. Attendees will have the option to purchase lunch on Saturday and Sunday, or are permitted to bring a lunch along from home.
The trading post sells artwork, crafts and wares from more than 40 artisans in the region. The artists may provide Business Cards and order Forms for their work in the shop. Consumers will also find locally sourced Cabot cheese, syrup and honey available for sale.
The Crafty Weekend will be held on Friday July 16th from 3:00-10:00 PM, Saturday July 17th from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM, and Sunday July 18th from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The Cow Bell Trading Post is located in the Tally Ho Mall, at 73 Route 2 in Preston. The weekend is restricted to a maximum of 14 participants, with tickets available on the Eventbrite website for $150.00 each. All participants will be provided with a minimum of five feet of table space to work on. The Cow Bell provides free internet access, and has a Cricut machine available for use.
