The Greater Norwich Area Chamber of Commerce is working with three other organizations to present the 2020 Healthy Living Festival.
Three Rivers Community College, Backus Hospital, and the Norwichtown Care and Rehabilitation Center are aiding the GNACC in this endeavor. The festival is an annual event and free to attend for the community.
Business related to health can demonstrate their products and services. Families can learn about health while having fun. The festival offers free hands-on demonstrations and health screenings. Guests can also enjoy performances from various music and visual artists.
Organizers are still accepting health related local vendors. Interested organizations can email membership@norwichchamber.com or register on the Chamber of Commerce Website. Brochure printing is a common way for a company to spread information on health to a large audience at a festival.
One of the main guests will be Health Transformers creator Dr. Setu Vora. Her mission is to promote healthy habits through practicing healthy habits and early prevention. She will discuss mindfulness and overall health and happiness.
Tickets for members of the GNACC are $10 for non-profits and $30 for other organizations. Non-members are $50 for non-profits and $75 for profiting companies.
The festival will take place at Dodd Stadium, where the Sea Unicorns and Connecticut Tigers play. The address is 14 Stott Avenue. The event starts on 10:00 am on September 28 and ends at 2:00 pm.
