Burns McDonnell is sponsoring an event called Business Breakfast: The Science and Industry of Wind Energy.
The Southeastern part of the state has a rich and interesting history with ships and other maritime stories. Some are centuries old. Offshore wind energy is about to become the newest addition to the epic, as this is a growing and prosperous industry using next generation technology.
At this seminar, guests can learn about the technology and economics of wind energy and how it affects the labor force. Research comes from both the New England area and international sources.
Paul Vigeant will speak at the lecture. Vigeant is the New Bedford Wind Energy Center Director and the Workforce Development Vice President and Bristol Community College.
Organizations can sponsor the event for $2,000. That includes a seat at the head table for a representative and a speaking opportunity, a priority table reserved for 8 guests, a table in the small expo section, the Logo Design of the organization on marketing items, an event program advertisement, a display of the organization's banner, and permission to hand out marketing items to other guests.
Business Breakfast will be on March 27 from 7:45-9am. The seminar will be at Three Rivers Community College, located at 574 New London Turnpike in Norwich. Before March 24, registration is $25 for members and $30 for non-members. After March 24 or at the door is $5 extra.
