The Wilson in Wanderland Book Club will be hosting an extravagant long weekend event, featuring lavish accommodations, fine dining, and world-famous authors.
The club is accepting new members, from across Rhode Island and nearby cities in Connecticut, including Norwich, Waterford and Stonington.
Attendees will have the opportunity to meet, hear stories and have their Books signed by three beloved, best-selling authors. The Books, which should be read before the event, are:
- The Seven or Eight Deaths of Stella Fortuna, by Juliet Grames
- Her Last Flight, by Beatriz Williams
- Finding Mrs. Ford, by Deborah Goodrich Royce
The event will feature many opportunities for fine dining, including a dinner on Friday evening, prepared by Michelin-approved chefs, and a New England themed lobster boil on Saturday night. Printing services may be used to create Menus for display during the meals at the resort.
Saturday afternoon will include a group activity that is yet to be announced, but may include a tour of the local area or a cooking class. Full event details will be posted on the Eventbrite website as they become available.
The Book Lover's Luxury Rhode Island three-day weekend getaway will be held from Friday, May 14 to Sunday, May 16, at the Ocean House Relais and Châteaux Resort, located at 1 Bluff Avenue in Westerly. Tickets are limited, and may be purchased from the Eventbrite website for $1,599.00 each. Special rates for accommodations at the resort are available for this event, by asking to be included in the book clubs block of rooms.
