The Norwich Fire Department and Norwich Police Department will participate in a hockey game for charity.
Guns N Hoses has been an annual event for seven years. With this event, firefighters and police officers in Norwich can celebrate the playful antagonism between the two departments. It also provides entertainment for the community while honoring those who put their lives on the line every day for the community.
The game is a charitable event that provides funding for community efforts such as the Police Athletic League, victims of cancer, and youth athletics in Norwich. The Seahawks, which is the youth hockey team for Southeastern Connecticut, play at RoseGarden, the local ice arena.
A prominent sponsor of Guns N Hoses is Mystic Spine and Sport. However, the Norwich Police Benevolent Association Post 2 highlights the impact of each donation and community support. The organization is grateful for every contribution and will continue to be a staple in the community due to the support.
Tickets are $10 and are not refundable. The game will take place at the RoseGarden Ice Arena, located at 641 New London Turnpike.
Norwich PBA Post 2 announced the date for the game this year to be April 25. The game starts at 7:00 pm.
Volunteer or minor league sports teams create unique logo designs on uniforms to boost team spirit and identify players in action.
