Woodland Hills workshop to teach trauma-informed yoga practices

Embody Through Yoga Studio will hold the 3-Day Trauma-Informed Yoga Certification Training next month in Woodland Hills to teach practitioners how to create a trauma-informed yoga program.

The training is ideal for mental health professionals, medical professionals, yoga teachers, educators, doulas, and anyone else who wishes to incorporate this method of healing trauma into their programs and teachings. No previous certifications are required to attend the class. The workshop will teach participants how to create a safe environment for survivors so that they feel comfortable taking steps in post-traumatic growth. CEs will be available for this certification through Yoga Alliance.

The workshop will include a comprehensive yoga resource guide of over 200 pages filled with information on how to create a holistic and sustainable trauma-informed yoga program. Instructors will also go over the evidence-based research concerning the practice, the neurobiology of trauma, what trauma-informed teaching dynamics are, and cultural considerations, plus many more topics.

The trauma-informed yoga workshop will take place from September 22 through September 24. It will be held at Embody Through Yoga Studio, which is located at 21221 West Oxnard Street. The workshop fee per person is $830.
