Woodland Hills walks for Alzheimer's

The Alzheimer’s Association will bring its annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s to Woodland Hills this October.

The walk will invite individuals, families, and teams to raise money and awareness for Alzheimer’s disease and other Forms of dementia.

The event opens at 8:00 am, followed by a ceremony at 9:00 am and the walk beginning at 9:30 am. Participants may register individually, join an existing team, or create their own fundraising group. The national Walk to End Alzheimer’s program is held in over 600 neighbourhoods, supporting Alzheimer’s care, research, and family services.

Registration is free, although participants are encouraged to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Association. Registered walkers who raise at least $100 qualify for an event T-shirt, while participants who reach that amount at least one month before the walk can receive the T-shirt before the event day.

The event also incorporates the Promise Garden, where flower colors represent different personal connections to Alzheimer’s, including people living with dementia, caregivers, those remembering someone lost to the disease, and supporters of the organization’s mission. Funds raised through the walk will support the Alzheimer’s Association. Registration for the event can be done via the Eventbrite listing.

Organizers of charitable community events often use banner printing to highlight sponsors.

The San Fernando Valley Walk to End Alzheimer’s will be held on Sunday, October 25 from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm at Pierce College, 6201 Winnetka Avenue, Woodland Hills.
