The Salute to Firefighters Festival will return to Warner Center Park this September.
This annual event recognizes the service and sacrifice of local first responders while raising financial assistance for the Widows, Orphans, & Disabled Firefighter’s Fund. It is being hosted by US Bank in partnership with the Los Angeles Fire Department.
During the event more than 15 fire stations are expected to participate in a cooking competition where attendees can sample a variety of dishes while voting for their favorites. The festival will also feature live entertainment, a classic automobile exhibition, a beer garden, emergency response demonstrations and activities designed for all ages. Visitors will have opportunities to meet firefighters, learn about their work and enjoy a day centered on community appreciation.
Admission to the festival is free for the public. Vehicle owners wishing to participate in the car show may register for $30 per vehicle. On-site car registration participants must be at the entrance by 8:45 am. Vendors interested in available spaces should get in touch with Kenny Breskin. Approved car show sellers must complete setup by 9 am. Donations supporting the firefighter assistance fund are also accepted.
Hosts often use flyer printing to promote community festivals and encourage local participation for events such as this one.
