Woodland Hills to paint in 3D at texture art class

Brie McWade of Advisory House Design will lead the Modernist Texture Art Workshop in Woodland Hills to teach students how to create sculptural modernist paintings.

As chief creative and owner of Advisory House Design, Brie McWade helps local businesses such as Composed Living and Food Access LA with content creation and creative support. An artist in her own right, McWade’s illustrative work has been showcased in galleries, and she also holds creative workshops to help people achieve their own creative dreams and goals.

The Modernist Textile Art Workshop happening in November will be jointly hosted by McWade and Composed Living. McWade will guide the class in how to create a pair of sculptural modernist paintings utilizing common household joint compound. Using this joint compound, students will learn how to create designs and patterns that dry in a 3D form. The class fee will include all materials and equipment, and there will also be snacks and wine available.

Art workshops will often get advertised in libraries or craft stores through Flyers that can be handed out or affixed to bulletin boards. Organizers of such events may call upon their local Print shops offering flyer printing services to create such materials.

The textile art workshop is scheduled for Saturday, November 2. The venue, Composed Living, is located at 20929 Ventura Boulevard. Tickets are $71.21.
