Woodland Hills runs with the YMCA

This fall, the YMCA is holding its fourth annual Missile Run, which includes a 5K run, a 10K run, and a 2-mile family run.

The Y is hoping that this event will help to inspire people to continue being physically active, and find some activity that they enjoy doing, even as a family.

The race will be held at the Marvin Braude Mulholland Gateway Park, which is at the very southern end of Reseda Blvd. Free parking is available in the lot at the end of Reseda Blvd, or street parking is also available. There will be shuttles running to take people from the parking lot up to the registration area.

The trail used for this event is the Old Nike Missile Site trail, which is a roundtrip 6.2-mile trail in Tarzana. The location is an easy drive from anywhere in Woodland Hills, taking either surface streets or the freeway. The site has history and views of the mountains and the San Fernando Valley.

Early bird registration ends after October 31, at which time the price goes up. In person registration is also available on the day of the event.

Events like this often take advantage of printing services. Not only will there be posted Signs for some driving rules and directions, but there are also numbers to be printed for participants, as well as other items.

The run is currently scheduled to take place on Saturday, November 17.
