Maggiano's Little Italy in Woodland Hills will hold the Interactive Butter Cake Kids’ Cooking Class next month to teach children basic cooking and baking skills.
Maggiano’s was started in Chicago, Illinois in 1991 to offer the community simple, authentic, and tasty Italian dishes, many of which were sourced from Italian mothers, aunts, and grandmothers. The business soon grew to become a restaurant chain that reaches all the way to California. Besides creating and serving authentic Italian dishes, the chain also offers how-to classes to the public to teach people how to make various signature Maggiano dishes.
The workshop in August will be aimed specifically at young children ages 5 to 12 interested in learning the basics of cooking. The junior chefs will work with Maggiano’s executive chef to create a butter cake of their own. There will also be a hot breakfast buffet for children and adults alike. Children must have an adult chaperone with them during the class.
How-to classes, especially those aimed at children like this one, may include visual learning materials, such as Posters, which organizers can get professionally printed at local shops offering poster printing services.
The butter cake class is scheduled for Sunday, August 20 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. Maggiano’s is located at 6100 California 27, Los Angeles. It will cost $30 per child and $25 per adult.
