Woodland Hills artist Niv Bavarsky will hold the Experiment to Product Workshop in November for anyone looking to broaden their perspective and enhance their creativity.
Bavarsky is a creatively diverse artist working in a variety of fields, including editorial design, motion graphics, background design, and visual development. Part of his creative process is maintaining a rich sketchbook practice, which he will teach students of his workshop how to maintain, among other creative exercises.
The workshop will guide students through how to utilize creative play to build towards a finished design. The class will begin with a 20-minute presentation on Niv’s background as an artist, followed by 20 minutes of students creating mind maps. Then there will be one hour of personal experimentation in which students will learn how to draw on personal experiences, dreams, and thoughts to adapt into stories and art. Students will also participate in a game of telephone Pictionary, illustration sketching session, and critique of illustration concepts.
Art workshops are often advertised on colorful Posters, which organizers can get printed at local poster printing shops and then distribute them in relevant spaces.
The experimental workshop is scheduled for November 12 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. It will take place at the Valley Art Workshop on 5210 Collier Place between Wells Drive and Jumilla Avenue. Tickets are $125.
