People age 49 and older who are young at heart, and are looking for friendship or even love, are encouraged to attend a “Love Is in the Air” event.
The event is a chance for people to connect with others in person, rather than texting, emailing, cell phoning, and logging onto websites. Instead, people can meet on a face-to-face basis and converse in a comfortable atmosphere.
The venue features a large dance floor, and the music will be provided by DJ Ed Failing. His playlist includes golden oldies, as well as hits from the 1950s through the 1970s, so participants can dance to the music with which they are likely to be familiar.
Attendees will also have a chance to learn the two-step from dancers Ed Failing and Rebecca Lynn Thrasher, who will also perform exhibition dances.
The menu includes fresh fruits and veggies, dip and chips, pitas and hummus, sweets, and soft drinks.
The Spring Fling is scheduled for April 17 from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm, at Valley Beth Shalom on Ventura Boulevard in Encino. However, the dance is not a temple event, and everyone is welcome to attend. There is a $25 cash cover charge.
Event planners might consider working with a banner printing company to create spring-themed Banners to hang above the dance floor and throughout the venue, to create a fun, comfortable atmosphere.Get a Free Quote for Banners
