Next month, the Woodland Hills Drive-In will be hosting a movie and live concert event to raise money for the children of first responders and hospital workers.
The drive-in theater will show the movie Purple Rain, starring Prince, for attendees to enjoy from the comfort and safety of their vehicles. There will also be a live concert by DL Money later on in the evening. Refreshments will be available for purchase in a socially distanced manner from the theater's vendors and food trucks. Organizers request that attendees make sure their cars have a FM radio, or that they bring a portable FM radio to hear the movie audio.
Guests must RVSP and have proof of a negative COVID-19 test. Masks are required by California law if people leave their vehicle, such as when going to the bathroom or sitting in flatbed trucks.
The proceeds of the event will go towards supporting the children of first responders and hospital workers who have died doing their duty.
The event is slated for Saturday, March 6, from 5:30 pm to 10:30 pm. Ticket prices range from $45 to $60. For more information, visit the organizer’s website.
