Pierce College in Woodland Hills is hosting a Halloween Harvest Festival of family-friendly activities right through to October 31.
The event features farm-grown pumpkins, farm animals, kids’ activities, rides, an adventure corn maze, hay rides, and a haunted house.
Spookley the square pumpkin, as well as his scarecrow buddy Jack, will be at the new stage show by Holiday Hill Farms. Families can tromp through the pumpkin patch and pick out their own pumpkin to make into a Jack-o-Lantern.
The Adventure Corn Maze will confuse and delight youngsters as they search for a way out. If that is not scary enough, they can take a walk along the Haunted Trail but they need to be prepared to keep any eye out for ghosts.
After the little tots go to bed, the older kids and adults can come back and visit as the park transforms into the Fright Fair Scream Park. The Haunted Trail now becomes more frightening as the Creatures of the Corn ‘stalk’ those who dare to take a walk. The haunted house also transforms into the Factory of Nightmares.
Festival hours are 10:00 am - 10:00 pm Sunday through Thursday and 10:00 am – midnight on Friday and Saturday. The Haunted House and Haunted Trail are open every day from dusk until 10:00 weekdays and midnight at weekends. For more information, call (818) 999-6300.
