Throughout February, Tech Training Solutions will be holding a four-week training course on the basic applications of GIS (geographic information system) for any Woodland Hills professionals wishing to either begin a career in GIS or enhance their skills.
The February event will be a four-week long course devoted to GIS and its applications. It will be taught over eight sessions, with two sessions per week on Mondays and Wednesdays, each of them lasting two hours. The course is designed for beginners wishing to gain a working knowledge of GIS, or for GIS professionals wanting to improve their skills.
Led by a knowledgeable instructor providing hands-on training, students will learn the framework of GIS, as well as finding, exploring, and creating GIS maps. Objectives include visualizing and querying spatial data, attributing data, and making connections. Students will have the opportunity to prepare GIS map presentations. Training materials include handouts, practical lab exercises, and real-life training scenarios. To prepare the training handouts, organizers may employ the services of Stationery printers to Print the paper materials.
