Friday night crafts come to Woodland Hills

Residents of the San Fernando Valley have a new event to look forward to.

The series is called Fri-YAY! Crafts & Cocktails, and allows participants to make something special to bring home. Not only that, participants also get a cocktail of their choice to sip while they craft, as the title implies.

The theme of the upcoming event is macramé, or art involving knotted string. Participants will create their own macramé hanging flower basket holder while enjoying cocktails and snacks. There will also be a gift for participants.

There’s also a place to leave children in the same shopping area, so participants do not have to worry about leaving any children at home or finding a babysitter.

Participants get to take home their hanging basket holder at the end of the evening, along with a gift. The promised gift is likely a promotional product from one of the participating companies.

The event will be held at The Village, which is a shopping center. It houses restaurants and stores, and has an outdoor play area for children. People frequently also bring their dogs, as it is an outdoor mall.

This Friday event will be held on July 27 starting at 6:00 pm, and attendance is $10. All participants must be 21 or older, and places must be booked online in advance.
