Construction starts on multifamily development in Woodland Hills

CityView, a developer based in Los Angeles, has begun construction of a multifamily development in Warner Center, a business development in Woodland Hills.

The designer on the project is Ken Stockton Architects, from Calabasas. The building, which will be located at the corner of Alabama Avenue and Vanowen Street, will have six stories, 174 units, and 258 parking spaces.

The new development joins a number of others in Warner Center that are either approved, or already under construction. These include a condo project comprising 18 units on Variel Avenue, which is part of a larger project that will have five buildings in total; Panoptic Development will build a building offer 154 units at Vanowen and Canoga Avenue, beginning this summer.

Warner Center is a planned area that was first proposed late in the 1960s, but has been updated by the Warner Center 2035 Plan. With this plan as a guide, further development puts the emphasis on sustainability and walkability in a transit-oriented area designed for mixed-use purposes. According to the plan, by 2035 there will be another 14 million square feet of building area for nonresidential use, an additional 20,000 residential units, and approximately 49,000 new jobs.

Projects like this can benefit if developers work with a brochure printing company to create Booklets that show the amenities of the development to prospective tenants.
