Ventura pooches will soon be strutting their stuff in an event that will work to make sure every dog has a home to call its own.
Ventura Harbor Village will be the venue for the 24th annual Pooch Parade, and the monies raised will support area rescue dogs. It has been organized by the Canine Adoption and Rescue League, and it will be five hours of fun for those with four and two legs alike.
The theme for this year’s installment will be “Fun, Sun, Sand and Supporting Rescue Dogs.” Owners are welcome to dress themselves and their pet in their favorite beachwear, and anyone who is hoping to add a new furry member to the family will be able to meet some new canine companions. Everyone can browse through the vendor tables in the market, take photos, and meet other local dog lovers.
A community festival or fair may garner interest from area residents, and a flyer printing company will have a variety of ways to help build the buzz. It can prepare materials quickly, accepting orders online in person or over the phone.
The 24th annual Pooch Parade will be giving every dog its day on Sunday, August 18th. It will run from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm at 1583 Spinnaker Drive in Ventura. Further info is available on the event website.
