Auctioneers and thrifters will want to set aside time next month as a Western-themed auction is returning to Ventura to support the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Ventura.
The 56th Annual Great Futures Auction is planned for mid-November, providing residents with an opportunity to come away with valuables and antiques. It’s also an opportunity to put your best Western outfit together to win prizes as part of the costume contest. The first-place winner will receive $250, with second and third places winning $150 and $100, respectively.
Guests will enjoy participating in live and silent auctions, in addition to the Western costume contest. Cocktails will be available to attendees, as will several savory dinner options. Dinner is included with the cost of admission, and the two main plates include tri-tip or grilled chicken. Poster printing can be an excellent way to advertise menu options for events like this.
Chuckwagon sides will also be available, with options like macaroni and cheese, garlic bread, green beans, and salad. Beverage options, including water and specialty cocktails, will be provided to wash down the dinner.
The auction is scheduled for Saturday, November 11th, with proceedings set to begin at 4:00pm at the Poinsettia Pavilion. Individual tickets cost $100, while a table for eight can be reserved for $750. Tickets are available to purchase now from the event’s website.
