A two-day workshop will be held next month for girls between the ages of 13 and 17 years in Vacaville by the G.R.E.A.T. Girls Empowerment Academy.
Among the topics that will be covered at the workshop are self-care and techniques for relaxation; creation of a vision board; overcoming obstacles; and resiliency. Attendees will also learn how to create success from failures and develop goals upon which they can act. There will be a drawing at the workshop, at the of which, two girls will each receive a Chromebook. Snacks and lunch will also be provided.
Local Print shops are often called upon for such workshops to provide materials that attendees can take home with him.
The Soroptimist of Vacaville Twilight Club is sponsoring the event. This club is a global nonprofit organization made up of volunteers and provides girls and women with access to the training and education they need to be able to make their own decisions about financial matters. The G.R.E.A.T. Girls Empowerment Academy is an organization that provides girls and women with leadership development and the skills they need to succeed in life.
The workshop will take place on two Saturdays, March 14 and March 28 at the Solano County Library in Vacaville beginning at 10:00 a.m. There is no cost for the workshop.
