The Parks and Recreation Department of the city of Vacaville will be holding its annual Recreation Expo next month.
Such special events are often promoted by a city by hiring local shops to create Posters and other promotional printed materials which can be displayed throughout the community. Such events are part of the goal of a Parks and Recreation department to offer a wide selection of activities to make life more fun, healthy, and active.
The Expo will enable families to meet camp staff and instructors, watch program demonstrations, and win prizes. It will provide members of the community the first opportunity to register for the summer camp programs and swimming lessons of the Parks and Recreation Department. There will be a discount of 10 percent on all summer camps and a plan to pay later with a deposit of 50 percent down payment offered only at the Expo.
New this year, there is a Recreation Scholarship being offered for income-eligible families. This will enable them to receive a credit of $1,000 on their CivicRec account for youth recreation programs and activities. Those eligible for the scholarship can also receive a discount of 10 percent on swimming lessons.
The Expo will be held on Saturday March 5 at the Ulatis Community Center from 8:00 a.m. to noon. There is no charge for the Expo.
