The inaugural Ag & Art Film Festival will be coming to Vacaville next month.
The idea of the festival is to use cinema and storytelling to celebrate art and agriculture. The film categories include narrative short and feature, documentary short and feature, and web series. Some of the films that will be shown will include question and answer sessions after the films with the filmmakers. Screenings of the films will take place throughout the city of Vacaville.
Interspersed with the film showings, attendees will be able to connect with local farmers and chefs who use food and wine from local sources. Featured will be food trucks and a farmers’ market.
Special events such as this one are often promoted through poster printing.
There will be an opening night party at La Borgata Winery where attendees will have the chance to meet the artists. A closing night party will also be held at Town Square and catered by Back Door Bistro.
Sponsors of the festival include Soul Food Farm, Pleasants Valley Agriculture Association, True Roots, and Downtown Vacaville.
This festival will take place from Friday September 13 through Sunday September 15 alongside Arts Week presented by the Vacaville Arts and Cultural Alliance. It is expected that artists in the Vacaville community will offer multiple showings, events, and performances during the week.
