Proposals are being sought by the city of Vacaville from those who have experience in cultural planning, as the city looks to develop its first Arts and Culture Master Plan.
Poster printing is often used to spread word about such proposals throughout a city to its residents and businesses.
The goal is to create a vision that culture and the arts will have in the city. Vacaville is also looking to identify the foundation for the vision that will guide programming and policy so the quality of life can be enhanced for the visitors, businesses, and residents of the city. An essential part of the plan will be to have the public participate in the process.
The team of consultants selected for developing the plan will use the draft Art in Public Places Policy, the Downtown Specific Plan, and the Parks and Recreation Master Plan to expand public art throughout the city. Efforts to engage the public will explore the art history of Vacaville, capture the voice of the community, and identify ways to incorporate art that represents the community. The team is expected to meet and talk with local stakeholders, become familiar with arts destinations in the region, and expand and enhance collaboration among the art organizations in the city.
Qualifications for this team and proposals need to be submitted to the city by this Thursday, May 18 at 2:00 pm.
