Volunteers, performers, organizations in the community, and sponsors are invited to take part in the Merriment on Main Tree Lighting that will be held in Vacaville in December.
These annual festivities invite the community to get together with the intention of kicking off the holiday season in style.
The city is looking for members of the community who want to showcase their offerings or talents. Those who are interested in participating can fill out an online form on the city’s website. All giveaways and goodies distributed at the event must be free. Suggestions for such items include candy canes, small Bags of chips, hot cocoa, popped popcorn, and cotton candy.
Performers can be caroling or dance groups who will perform at a specific time and location. The city is also looking for vocalists and musicians who can walk around town and entertain the attendees during the event.
Local Print shops can be helpful in disseminating information about such events and requests for participants with Flyers and other printed materials.
Vendors who will be distributing giveaways and goodies need to submit their applications by Tuesday, October 29 while volunteers, entertainers, and performers need to submit their applications by Tuesday, November 12.
