Vacaville in Solano County is now in the second stage of reopening, and will be able to offer dine-in restaurants, schools, shopping malls, and swap meets to residents over the coming weeks.
Other businesses and operations that can be opened include retail stores, manufacturing, and pet grooming. City and county parks are also opened and participating in outdoor activities such as tennis, golf, biking, and hiking are encouraged. Poster printing is often called upon for announcements such as this one so that residents can take advantage of new opportunities to enjoy regular activities.
Ron Rowlett, mayor of Vacaville, expressed his excitement that the city is now able to reopen many businesses sooner than had been planned. He added his appreciation to the County for doing whatever it could to help cities in the County to restart their economies. He said the city will continue to work with the County to get other businesses safely reopened as soon as possible.
Public Health Officer of Solano County, Bela T. Matyas, M.D., M.P.H., added an appreciation of the opportunity to move forward in this accelerated second phase. Matyas said that the situation will be monitored to ensure that best practices in health and safety are maintained.
Vacaville City Hall is scheduled to reopen tomorrow, Monday, June 1, while summer camps are scheduled to reopen on Monday, June 15.
