Vaca-Con, hosted by the Parks and Recreation Department of the city of Vacaville, will be returning to the Ulatis Cultural Center in Vacaville later this month.
This will be a family-friendly event geared towards those who love comics, anime, science fiction, pop culture, and more. The day will be filled with an array of vendors, informative panels, extravagant cosplayers, and talented artists. Those who arrive early at the event will be able to meet and greet Mary Gibbs, the voice of Boo from Disney’s Monsters Inc.; Rikishi, a member of the WWE Hall of Fame; wrestling star Brian Kendrick; and MVPerry, an anime YouTube creator.
There will also be an Artist Gallery where local artists will display and sell their work, panels and guest speakers, an exhibitor hall, activities for kids, gaming stations, and a cosplay contest. Such events offer a valuable opportunity for vendors to promote their items with Flyers and other materials created by local Print shops.
The price of tickets is $20 at the door, with pre-sale tickets at $15. VIP tickets are $25 and enable their holders to enter a half-hour early. These ticketholders will also receive a swag bag and reserved seats in the front row of the theatre for the cosplay contest and guest speakers.
Vaca-Con will be held from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm Saturday, April 22.
