Santa to visit neighborhood parks in Vacaville

The second annual Neighborhood Santa run by the Parks and Recreation Department will be coming to Vacaville this month.

This is a parade that takes place at 20 parks throughout the city. Santa and his elves will be joined by the Fire and Police Departments and the Police Activities League to light up each neighborhood with cheer and color. There will also be special treats for the children. These parades are free and open to the public. Such special festive events are often promoted throughout a city and their neighborhoods with poster printing.

All parades will take place between 6:00 and 9:00 pm. The neighborhoods that will be visited will be:

• Corderos, Ridgeview, Browns Valley, and Centennial Parks on Monday, December 12
• Trower, North Orchard, Alamo Creek, and Three Oaks Park on Tuesday, December 13
• Padan, Southwood, Pheasant Country, and Cannon Station Parks on Wednesday, December 14
• Magnolia, Meadowlands, Nelson, and Fairmont/Beelard Parks on Thursday, December 15
• Nashe Mesto, Arbor Oaks, Hawkins, and Stonegate Park on Friday, December 16

Residents can track the parade on the city’s website in real time. Any parades that need to be cancelled due to inclement weather will be posted on social media by 3:00 pm on the scheduled date and will not be rescheduled. Residents are invited to visit other neighborhood parks.
