Vacaville is planning to host Neighborhood Santa once again this month.
This is a parade of many neighborhood parks in Vacaville. The children of the Police Athletic League make a float which Santa Claus rides and comes to the various neighborhoods. Elves accompany Santa and hand out candy canes.
An added feature to Neighborhood Santa this year is “Vote for your Favorite Float.” There will be many new floats this year sponsored by different organizations. This provides an opportunity for such organizations to use a Logo Design on such floats to promote their organization. There will be QR Codes at each park which will enable people to vote for their favorite float. The float which is voted the favorite by the public will receive a prize.
Santa will be visiting neighborhood parks this week, from Monday December 11 to Friday December 15 between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. Currently planned for visiting on Monday December 11 are Trower, North orchard, Browns Valley, Corderos, and Ridgeview P arks. Santa plans to visit Meadowlands, Magnolia, Cannon Station, Pheasant Country, and Alamo Creek Parks on Wednesday December 13. On Friday December 15, Santa will be at Stonegate, Hawkins, Arbor Oaks, Nashe Mesta, and Fairmont/Beelard Parks.
This event is sponsored by the Parks and Recreation Department of Vacaville. The mission of the department is to offer a wide selection of activities to support the quality of life of residents with fun, healthy, and recreational activities.
