Fares are once again being collected on the Vacaville City Coach as of this month.
Collection was suspended for the past three years due to the pandemic, during which most transit services and agencies subsidized by funding from the CARES Act. In October 2022, the City Council set fares for the City Coach Direct service and set a date of February 1 for the resumption of the collection of fares.
Fares are now being collected on buses from City Coach, using ride City Coach Direct or paratransit. Proceeds from the fares will be used to provide a comfortable and safe ride, cover the costs of maintaining the fleet, and offer service in areas where there are limited other transportation options. The team at City Coach is committed to providing the most efficient, reliable, and affordable transportation in the area.
Riders can purchase fares for a single ride, a day, a half-month, 20 rides, or monthly. Seniors and those with disabilities can also purchase 30-ride passes. Prices range from $1.50 for an adult single ride to $36 for a monthly adult pass. Local Print shops can assist with printing Flyers and other materials with such pricing information and schedules.
Bus passes can be purchased at Lucky’s Supermarket, McBride Senior Center, Ulatis Community Center, and at Vacaville City Hall, with more locations for purchasing passes to be added soon.
