Locals in and around Tustin can take part in a race to celebrate survivors of crime.
The 'Survive and Thrive’ 5K run and walk will take place at Mason Regional Park.
Prior to the event, there will be a warm-up, guest presentations, and a survivors’ dove release. There will also be a groundbreaking ceremony for the Orange County Crime Victims’ Monument. Crime survivors will have the opportunity to share a message with the crowd.
Registration costs $25 until April 20th and $30 on race day. Registrants will receive a medal, a T-shirt, and a swag bag. Proceeds from the event will go to help victims of crime heal, recover, and thrive through resources, programs, and services.
After the event, participants may want to head on over to the Health and Safety Expo, where there will be live entertainment, refreshments, vendors, and exhibitors. It’s likely the various businesses at the event may have used brochure printers to make informational pamphlets to distribute at the expo.
Event day registration will kick off on April 25 at 7:00am, followed by a warm-up at 8:15am. The run and walk will begin at 9:00am. Finally, the expo will take place from 7:00am until noon.
Mason Regional Park is located on 18712 University Drive in Irvine. Sponsorship opportunities and vendor booths are still available. For more information, call (949)-872-7895.
