Recently re-elected for her second term, she says her first priority is managing the recovery from the pandemic. She wants the city to be proactive in its recovery rather than constantly reacting to situations.
Speaking to PrecicntReporter.com, she said:
“I think that everyone thought that 2021 was going to come, and a magic light switch was going to turn on and things would immediately get better, but we have a long road ahead of us.”
This will be Clark’s second term on Tustin’s city council. Tustin is like many of Orange County’s smaller cities that do not have elected mayors. They rely on a system that rotates the mayors and city council positions every year. Clark’s term as mayor will end in December 2021.
In order to combat the pandemic’s spread, Clark wants to improve the testing procedures and make sure vaccines are rolled out properly. Supporting businesses and ensuring that they are compliant is a big part of that mission. Businesses can use printing services to make sure that they are compliant.
Helping the local business community to recover is another of her goals. Highlighting the number of real estate vacancies, she feels that giving businesses access to necessary funding will help them to stay afloat.
