A glass of wine is sure to take off the winter chill for visitors of an annual winter festival in Northern Sonoma County.
This is the 28th year for what is called Winter WINEland, celebrating and showcasing the many wonderful wineries along Wine Road in Healdsburg, just a short journey from Santa Rosa.
Ticket holders travel from winery to winery, tasting the different vintages and varietals that Sonoma County has to offer. Visitors can meet the winemakers and discuss the process that transforms the grapes from the vineyards into the much loved liquid in a glass.
There are dozens of wineries taking part in the weekend festival. All will feature a Vintage, Varietal or Vertical tasting. Some wineries will also offer food.
Wine Road is a picturesque road that winds through some of California's most individualistic wineries, with stunning natural beauty and architecture.
Wineries participating in events such as these can use Print shops to create professional wine and food Menus, and employ brochure printing services to have information on hand for visitors.
January 18 features a special Winemakers' Breakfast, where visitors can enjoy a casual breakfast in the company of some of the area's top winemakers who will be available for a Q & A. Attending this event requires a separate ticket.
The 28th Annual Winter WINEland takes place January 18 and 19, from 11:00 am to 4 pm each day. Advance ticket sales end Monday January 13 at 11:00 pm. Visitors must be legal drinking age to attend (21+). Babies and children of any age are not allowed.
