Santa Rosa is home to a thriving community of senior citizens, and there are numerous ways in which these individuals can enjoy the outdoors. An upcoming walk and picnic is yet another example of what residents can expect.
The 2026 Generations in Motion Walk & Picnic is scheduled to be held in early May. This event is open to all ages, and all skill levels are welcome. It has been created to encourage health, wellness, and to emphasize the importance of maintaining an active lifestyle. All proceeds will be allocated to support various senior organizations located throughout Sonoma County. Those with leashed pets are also encouraged to join.
This event will also feature on-site refreshments provided by Drip Sandwiches. These include grilled chicken salad sandwiches, roast beef and cheddar heroes, pasta salad, cookies, and complimentary beverages.
Events focused around health and well-being will fall back on a handful of proven advertising strategies. Poster printing, distributing leaflets that display a map of the intended course, and providing take-home Flyers are some effective approaches.
The 2026 Santa Rosa Generations in Motion Walk & Picnic is being held on Saturday, May 9th. Check-in commences at 10 AM, and the walk will begin at 11:30 PM. The event is being hosted at Spring Lake Regional Park with offices located at 400 Aviation Boulevard. Although general admission is free, meals should be purchased online before May 4th. Adult Menus are priced at $25 per person, and children can eat for $15.
