Santa Rosa museum set to celebrate

Santa Rosa is home to the Charles M. Schulz Museum, and this venue has a special event planned in honor of its 22nd anniversary.

The institution, which celebrates the life and work of the creator of the “Peanuts” comic strip, has scheduled a day filled with fun. It will have a beach theme, and there will be activities and other fun for the whole family.

Guests who come out for the day will be invited to take part in hands-on activities. They can create their own surfing Snoopy and try their hand at the other fun, and the Marine Mammal Center will have a representative on site to discuss conservation. Joe Wos, who is an award winning cartoonist, will be supplying the live entertainment when he draws 26 different ocean animals suggested by the crowd, all in under 26 minutes. This will be followed by a book signing, which is included with admission, and is free to museum members.

An anniversary event may call for custom decor. Organizers of public celebrations often work closely with a printing services company, as it will be able to provide a full line of Print options.

This celebration of the Charles M. Schulz Museum’s 22nd anniversary will be held next Saturday, August 3. All ages are on the guestlist, and the organizers can be contacted by phone at 797-579-4452.
